Joining the committee will be a volunteer role that will help you gain a wide range of experiences and build your networks while you study in university. Joining the team will allow you to gain your Curtin Extra certificate which you receive at the end of your degree. When you become a committee member, you will be expected to attend weekly scheduled meetings with the whole team. If you are looking to expand your portfolio, build on your skills, networks and knowledge - joining the committee is the perfect way for you to get started!

Please note - joining the committee is NOT the same as joining as a member of the organisation. Being in the committee will mean you are playing an active role in the organisation. While, being a member means we will not require any commitment from you and you can come along to events as a member of the organisation.

Vice President Roles

All VPs’ roles include coordinating with the Faculty Head of School, UCs and Guild Faculty Rep regarding the best way to execute the events related to their majors. Each VP has a specific BCom major they focus on and in order to provide members with adequate events and opportunities, they must meet with university staff as well as external relations to be able to provide adequately.

Public Relations Roles

The Public Relations department will be in charge of WIB’s existing and future, corporate and social sponsors. The aim of the team is to provide members with not only more professional opportunities but also social perks of joining the organisation.

Creative Marketing Officers

The Creatives Dept. oversees all creative aspects actively shaping the brand of the club. Creative Officers are responsible for creating and initiating creative projects for WIB and enhances the visual identity of the club in the most appealing way.

Social Media Officers

The social media management team will be in charge of managing all WIB’s social platforms. This includes working with the events and creative marketing division in creating content schedules and ensuring the club’s social insights are maintained and increased.

Events Officer

The Event division will be in charge of creating events for the organisation. This can include both professional and social events to benefit the members.
